Feng Shui for Giese Memorial Library

The architecture and interior design of the Giese Memorial Library features several Feng Shui design principles. This new construction afforded the opportunity of building these design elements in right from the very start. In Feng Shui there are five elements which are: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Galley kitchen remodel

This early ’70s home featured a typical small galley kitchen with no real dedicated dining room. The clients for this project were Empty Nesters who love to entertain, but didn’t have the proper space or equipment to do so. The kitchen and dining area were completely transformed with custom cabinetry designed to meet the clients’ needs and wishes. Read more →


Kitchen and living space remodel

The goal for this project was to update a typical 1970s-era kitchen and living room to make it feel more spacious, while leaving the footprint intact. From a style standpoint, the clients had lived in Asia and on the west coast of the U.S. and asked us to incorporate design elements to reflect those locations and styles. Read more →


Lake Minnetonka patio

Situated on Lake Minnetonka between Wayzata and Gray’s Bay, this Cotswold-style cottage home is both rustic and elegant. A well-situated but underutilized front patio sits outside the home’s dining room; with some help from fusion designed, the patio is now the perfect place to linger over morning coffee or after-dinner drinks. Mid-Century Modern patio

This patio project was completed for the 2009 ASID Showcase House Tour, as a compliment to a Mid-Century Modern home remodel done for the tour. Homes from the mid-century era were designed and built for bringing the outdoors in, with seamless indoor/outdoor transitions and open-plan space designs. Read more →


Three-season porch for Summit Avenue home

The design goal on this project was to restore an incredibly outdated and unusable porch in a Victorian home on Summit Avenue in St. Paul for the 2007 ASID Showcase House Tour. Victorians loved to travel and bring back accessories to furnish their homes, so we used this concept as design inspiration. The new space reflects the excitement of traveling and river life.
